Albufeira is geographically central in the Algarve and is approximately 35kms west of Faro airport. It is primarily known as the tourist centre of the region with a population that expands to over 300,000 during the summer months.

include a marina, golf courses, and numerous hotels ranging from 3 to 6-star, restaurants and bars.

 

General information

The city comprises two main areas commonly known as the ‘old town’ and the ‘new town’ which seamlessly join to form the popular tourist destination. Twenty three golden sandy beaches line Albufeira stretching from east to west the main ones being Praia de Galé, Praia de Balaia, Praia dos Olhos d’Agua and Praia de Falésia.
